"I" Song Lyrics

I Know a Place

I know a place where no one ever goes,
There's peace and quiet, beauty and repose,
It's hidden in a valley, beside a mountain stream,
And lying there beside the stream I find that I can dream
Only of things of beauty to the eye,
Snow-peaked mountains towering to the sky,
Now I know that God has made this world for me.

One can imagine himself as in a dream,
Climbing a mountain, or down a small ravine,
The magic of the peace and quiet always shall stay
To make this place a haven each and every day
Oh, how I wish I'd never have to leave,
And all my life such beauty to receive,
Now I know that God has made this world for me.

I know a camp where all the girl Scouts go,
There's fun, excitement, beauty, and repose,
It's hidden in a forest beside the Menominee,
Chalk Hills Camp is a second home for me,
Friends of all ages, people of all creeds,
Wonderful people that I hate to leave,
Now I know that God has made this camp for me.

Irish Blessing

May the road rise to met you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rain fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

BACK
If All of the Raindrops

If all of the raindrops were lemon drops and gum drops,
Oh, what a world this would be!
I'd stand outside with my mouth open wide, goin'
Ah, ah ah ah, ah ah ah, ah ah ah,
If all of the raindrops were lemon drops and gum drops,
Oh, what a world this would be!

If all of the snowflakes were Hershey bars and milkshakes
Oh what a snow it would be!
I'd stand outside with my mouth open wide, goin'
Ah, ah ah ah, ah ah ah, ah ah ah,
If all of the snowflakes were Hershey bars and milkshakes
Oh what a snow it would be!
